A spider web tattoo represents struggle. Prisoners often have this tattoo on the elbow, back, side of the neck or on the face. White Supremacy gangs used to favor the spider web tattoo. Although it has long been associated with racists and criminals, it's now popular with the mainstream public and it has no specific meaning other than looking cool.

Some people get them because they like them, that's why i got mine. But on the elbow of a person, they are generally meant to symbolize time done in prison.
