Moles pretty much eat the invertebrates found uwithin the soil. This includes insects, insect larva, grubs, and earthworms. They may add some variety to their diet with small mice, grass roots, bulbs, seeds and root vegetables. The biggest portion of their diet is usually earthworms.
The moles patrol the tunnels they dig to find food items such as worms.
