This is largely a matter of opinion, if your instrument is performing poorly it might be time to either refurbish it, at the least you can consult a music expert.

To clean the surface of your piano, use a water dampened cloth and gently wipe dry. Keep all cleaners away from your piano as these harsh chemicals can damage the finish. In the case of a stubborn stain, you can use a little MILD soap and gently rub, followed up with the water dampened rinse and make sure to dry!

You can use a slightly damp soft cloth to wipe over both keys and wooden surfaces. Go over any leftover damp spots again with a dry cloth. For wooden surfaces only, you can use furniture spray that contains wax, being sure to wipe it very clean.

If it is not a VERY old piano, standard furniture polish will be OK - Pledge or Mr Sheen. Don't make a habit of it - dusting is enough, normally.
