Leonardo DaVinci's sketches tell us that, aside from being an artist, he also had a mind that way way ahead of its time. He had state-of-the-art invention ideas incorporated into those sketches, and they even marvel scientists toay with their creativity and ingenious ways. These sketches show that this was a man who found problems and tried to solve them.

Leonardo da Vinci's sketches show an active mind that was interested in everything from engineering to anatomy. This reflects how he saw himself, that is as an inventor and only incidentally an artist.

He was a very imaginative and complex thinker, wanting to know how things worked and get to the mechanics of it all. He was intrigued by the order of things and the progression of people.
