What do baby robins eat?

I think the baby robins in the nest in my yard do not have a mother and I want to feed them.

Please do not interfere with the baby birds. Their mother will take care of them. It is normal for her to only come to them when no one is watching.

If one finds a baby robin on the ground it is best if one finds its nest and leaves it there because baby robins eat what their parents bring them. Only if you are shore there is no one left to feed them you should try with small worms or ants.

If u know the mother is deffinitly not tending to the baby, call a rehabilitation center in your area for animals they will come & get the baby robin. What ever u do do not give it water! Water goes straight to their lungs & they will drown!

Mama Robin will be hard to see because feeding a brood of baby robins is a time-consuming job. The babies eat constantly which means their mama is always gone in search of food. Keep an eye out over a few days and if you absolutely think the mama is gone call your local wildlife rehabilitation center for assistance.

You can try giving them water and nutrients in a straw or other type of small suction device, but the chances of their surviving now are very slim.

first of all the mother never seems to leave the nest and the father gathers the food and protects the territory which happens to be an English walnut tree which is prone to squirrels. So far so good this year.
