I think that the cause of the charlie horse in your thigh could be from you not getting enough potassium. Maybe eat some bananas and drink some orange juice to make it feel better. Also, maybe you should consult your doctor it could be something more serious than you think.

Charlie horses can signify that you are dehydrated. They can also be caused by a lack of potassium in your diet or not stretching after a workout. Drink more water if you have been outside more than usual, cooler weather means you don't realise you aren't drinking enough.

Most likely the cause of your frequent charlie horses is low potassium. When you get your next one, drink some orange juice and eat a banana and then wait a few minutes, and it should calm down. Make sure that you are eating and drinking more potassium and the charlie horses should not be as frequent.

A charlie horse in your leg can be a couple of things. First of all, it may be a pinched nerve or you are sleeping on your leg at night and not realizing it. It can also be a sign of low potassium. There are vitamins that you can take over the counter to see if it will help.
