What could be causing this tingling in my hands and feet?

The tingling started about a week ago.

Neuropathy could be the cause and that is when nerve fibers begin to degenerate in the hands and feet. There are many causes of neuropathy and tests would be required to determine the exact cause. Also arthritis could also be a cause and that is common in older poeople, and a doctors should make the right diagnosis

You probably have a circulation or a neuropathy condition. You will want to see the doctor right away to get this treated.

The tingling in your hands and feet could well be caused by restricted blood flow due to the progression of diabetes or the earlier onset of the disease. The restricted blood flow can often cause a tingling and numbness in your extremities.

If the tingling in your hands and feet is constant and does not change with movement, you must see a neurologist. This could mean you have conduction problems.
