These could just be dry patches of skin. Eczema is a very good possible cause for itchy white spots, or patches on your skin and can be treated with over the counter remedies like cortizones. If they persist and get red and irritated from scratching, they can be infected.

One fairly common cause of this kind of rash is tinea versicolor. Tinea versicolor is a fungal infection caused by fungi that everyone natural carries. When the fungi, or yeast, multiply, it can colonize and cause skin cells to lose the ability to tan. This is what makes the skin appear white. A physician can prescribe a topical medication.

I also have itchy spots on my arms at times, it might be the same thing. I asked my doctor about it a while ago and he told me that it's pretty much just dry skin. So be sure to use lotion at least twice a day on your arms. Wait at least a week for results to show.

This can be caused by your environment that you were in over the last 24 hours. Some people get a reaction to plants, lawns, or bushes.

You might be having an alergic reaction to your deodorants. Stop using it and see if they are any changes.

You could be having a bacterial infection on your arms due to scratching to much. It might spread even further if left untreated. Please, try not to itch anymore. You can try some over the counter remedies for the itch.

If the skin around the itchy white spots is red and sort of scaly and sore then you almost definitely have eczema. Your doctor or pharmacist could prescribe you some cream or tablets to help. Good luck!
