What causes sibling rivalry?

Sibling rivalry is not caused, it is a biological response. Children must vie for attention, and parents must give attention. Siblings will behave in any way that will generate attention to themselves, at the expense of each others feelings. Parents should keep encouraging good relations between their children, but sibling rivalry will always surface.

You can't really get it to go away. Sibling rivalry is something that occurs in almost every household. There is bound to be some fighting going on between your kids.
