The theory is that the increased levels of estrogen in the body increase the production of cholesterol in your body. This increase in cholesterol causes a reflex increase in bile and reduced gallbladder movement as well, setting a person up for gallstone formation. The pain is caused by a stone blocking the gallbladder's duct.

We have had two ladies from our church that has had babies last month and had to get their gall bladder out about two weeks later. I guess it's where the baby has worked so hard on your body that it makes alot of calcium and it turns to stones.
