albino cats are usually because of a gene that is rare... true albino cats usually have pink eyes though some may believe that the ones with other color eyes are albino. They may have more health problems then other cats but for the most part are healthy.

Albino cats are a result of a genetic mutation lacking normal skin pigment. It can negatively affect their vision and immune systems.

This is a genetic disease that causes a cat to have no pigmentation. Albino cats are more likely to get sick due to having a weaker immune system. They are also very sensative to light and should only to kept as indoor pets. It is believed that most albino cats are also deaf.

Albinoism in cats is genetic. The major concern is thier health. Their immune system can often be a problem. They should always be kept inside, and all immunizations kept up to date. Albino cats are often blind and some are deaf. They tend to easily pick up infections due to their weakened immune system.
