What causes butterflies when you are on a roller coaster?

Answer by  John (9008)

Our sense of balance comes from fluid in our inner ears. Roller coasters force this fluid into unusual places, which do not match what we see, and this causes butterflies.

The roller coaster going from a high altitude to a low altitude in a very short time is what causes the butterflies in your stomach.

The dashing speed imbalances the activities. Brain gets confused and it stops sending signals, naturally the secretions pours out and the stomach finds it hard to control the movements.
