A brain bleed can be caused by head trauma, aneurysm, high blood pressure, blood vessel abnormalites, liver disease, all of which can lead to a stroke or even death.

Some common causes of bleeding in brain are repture in blood vessels due to high blood pressure, brain tumor, penetrating head trauma, skull fracture etc. This requires immediate medical attention. CT scan is done to determine the cause, followed by treatment which includes medication and surgery.
