When drinking/eating something cold, it comes into contact with the nerves around your palette. This message is sent to the brain which results in the sensation known as 'brain freeze'.

The roof of your mouth and lower sinus cavity is filled with tiny capillaries that help disburse heat among other things. The pain can occur when eating a frozen item too quickly is thought to come from the rapid contraction of this capillaries, displacing the blood in them.

Drinking a frozen drink or eating ice cream at a pace faster than what should be and it goes directly to the brain. It is a shock to your body and it sends a response to your brain that causes that to happen. It is best to eat or drink the item slower than normal.

The brain freeze is a cold headche that freeze the brain after eating any cold thing. like icecreame. It is very painful headache. If some one need to get out over the headache , person should drink warm water to make nerves in warm weather. So that person can easily get out of it.

People call it an ice cream headache also. It usually happens when you devour something cold like ice cream or a cold beverage. It makes your eyes tighten up and makes your teeth really cold.
