Do not use reverse psychology on children too much. They are smarter than most adults give them credit for and can often see when they are being manipulated through reverse psychology. I recommend that you talk to them directly on what type of behavour you want from them and discuss why. The direct approach will probably be more effective.

Children, because of their lack of experience, that only comes with years of relationships, don't have much psychological experience. Agreeing when they expect you to disagree will confuse them; therefore, it will make them vulnerable to whatever psychological examination they are under. That is why reverse psychology is so successful with young people, even more than it is with adults.

children usually react with different kind of situations in a different way. example: if you ask them to eat, they deny but if you ask not to eat they will eat. This kind of behaviour is called reverse psychology.
