Open bottles of different soft drinks at room temperature. Cover each with a balloon. Shake bottles the same number of times. The most inflated balloon covers the most carbonated drink.

The point of the soft drink carbonation test is to find out which particular soft drink has the most carbonation. To find details of this project, go to a science project website and see what the results are. Carbonation refers to how much CO2 is in each bottle. The higher the carbonation, generally the more fizz and acid.

You will need at least three soft drinks. The project will be more significant if four or five is used.
