There are two forms of Metoprolol; Tartrate and Succinate. Metoprolol Tartrate (known as Lopress (R)) is a Beta-blocker which is typically prescribed as a twice daily formulation, useful, principally in the treatment of Hypertension, rate control for Atrial Fibrillation, Angina, and in the setting of a Myocardial Infarction.
