In 1975 the head coach of the Vikings was Bud Grant and the QB was Fran Tarkenton. The Vikes had a great season, going 12-2 in the regular season and earning the NFC Central Division title. Their run to the Super Bowl ended with a loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

The 1975 Minnesota Vikings were maybe the best of the '70s Vikings teams. They went 12-2 during the regular season, tied for the best record in the NFL, but lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs. Fran Tarkenton, their quarterback, was league MVP.
