Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex is torn cartilage in the wrist. This could be severe enough to require surgery but there are other methods of treatment. Ice could be applied 3-4 times daily along with taking over the counter ibuprofen. The doctor may also recommend that you exercise the wrist periodically. Casts may also be recommended.

Rehabilitation is different from everyone so how the TFCC rehabilitation goes is determined on how well that you adjust to it.

Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex is torn cartilage or ligaments in the wrist. It can be treated by a cast or splint. Less invasive treatment include icing the area 3-4 times a day. You may also take anti-infammatories such as ibuprofen. A doctor may recommend wrist excercises as well. If needed, a cortisone shot may be administered for pain management.

While a complete tear might require surgery it is possible to rehabilitate the injury with the following: placing ice on the injury 3-4 times a day for approximately 20 minutes, anti-inflammatory medications are helpful, cortisone injections are possible as well as wrist exercise and between resting and exercises wear a brace.

This refers to the various treatments to fix torn cartilage, usually in the wrist. Ice packs and inflammtory drugs can usually repair the problem. If it is a very serious tear, however, you can expect that the doctor will recommend surgery to repair the cartilage. This will require that you wear an arm brace or cast for several weeks.
