Jacking up a chimney is a major job best left to professionals if at all possible. One mistake by an amateur can make the entire chimney fall, or cause structural damage to the house.

Use lots of bracing material and be careful that the fire brick lining the chimney does not get damaged or fall in on the chimney during this process. Be sure to check the fire brick lining for any needed repairs before using this chimney to draft any fire. Be safe.

If you are trying to jack up your chimney then this may take a long period of time and money. You will have to hire someone to jack it up unless you have the jacker.
