Fluorocarbon fishing line microscopically has a smoother texture than conventional mono filament. It is also harder for the fish to see. It's less abrasive, and better for knots.

It is a very good line and is choice for bass fishing or fly fishing. It has great invisiblity and strength ratings and is easy to tie knots. You knots will be more trusting and provide more strength then other lines.

Fluorocarbon line is virtually invisible to fish underwater, is very tough, and is extremely abrasion resistant. It is popular for both a mainline and especially as leader and tippet material. When attaching tippet to leader, back to back nail knots work extremely well. I prefer to use a uni-knot when attaching to a fly, and snell my hooks for bait.
