Post oak wilt can spread to other trees through the roots. So, the first step you need to take is to cut the roots, they are usually about four feet deep. After you have cut the roots buy a fungicide treatment to stop the post oak wilt. You can buy this at any gardening shop.

There shouldnt be anything else you need to do, if the tree needs support you can use wood to brace it but the tree should perk up alone

Because post oak wilt can easily spread and harm other trees you may want to contact a local extension office or nursery that can tell you how they treat the post oak wilt in your area. Possibly, with a fungicide or your tree may need to be removed. In the meantime, cut and remove diseased roots. Avoiding pruning your tree.
