Your best bet would be to bring your animal to the Vet. Something like an eye infection could become more serious if not treated correctly. If it will be sometime before you can get your cat to the Vet I suggest you keep cleaning the area of infection with a warm damp cloth periodically.

Depending on the specific cause and location of the eye infection, it can generally be treated with antibiotic eye ointment, eye flushing and maybe oral antibiotics. Take the kitty to a vet to check for the specifics and if the case is severe it may be necessary to have surgery done.
