I'd think you need to check who are your department stores or providers in Sydney. You may be at the end of the earth, but you're not at the back of beyond. I do believe that all the major brands are available in an international city like Sydney.

Australia is a first world country. Therefore, they should carry all the big name brands you see here in the States. Since they are closer to Asia, expect to see more Japanese and Korean brands on the store shelves. These asian brands are probably much cheaper due to fewer shipping costs.
