Yellow Post campsites are off the main travel routes and have no amenites other than a fire pit and, perhaps, a picnic table. They are great for solitude and are usually accessible only by 4x4s.

Yellow Post campsites are backcountry campsites, secluded from other campers and far from any signs of civilization. They are called such as they are marked by a single yellow post. Usually consisting of only a picnic table and a fire pit. There are no bathrooms or water pumps. For the most part they don't require reservations.

Yellow Post Campsites are remote camp sites, away from "car camping". These campsites usually offer no facilities, no bathrooms, water, electricity or picnic tables. The are as primitive as camping gets, but also, you will find less campers. The further away from civilization the more privacy you get too.

Yellow post campsites are sites that are located more remotely than other campsites and offer less, if any amenities such as fire pits, trash bins, running water, restrooms, etc. You'll be truly roughing it.

They are campsites that are off the beaten path. Sometimes there are tables, sometimes not. Bathrooms and water may or may not be available. If you pack it in to the campsite, you must pack it back out again as trash facilities are not provided. Fire may or may not be permitted.

Yellow post campsites are more remote than regular campsites. They are located off main travel routes and often lack the amenities of regular campsites. You might find yourself in an area with no running water, public bathroom, etc. However, these sites are peaceful and can be fun with the right people.
