The worlds most commonly spoken languages are English, Mandarin(Chinese), Spanish, Portugese, French, Japanese, German and Arabic. Most of these languages are the most commonly spoken because of imperialism pre 1920's. English is the most widely spoken it is the language of business, radio, and the common language used by the United Nations.
