Narcissists self-enhance more than others (in other words, they bolster their sense of importance, and their skill in various domains). Narcissists have problems with perspective taking and seeing things from another person's perspective.

The DSMIV includes the following as diagnostic conditions for Narcissistic Personality Disorder: pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, lack of empathy.
