What are the symbols of Christianity?

There are many christian symbols including the cross, the crucifix, and the chalice. There are some not so common such as the eye which is the all-seeing eye of God, the dove(sign of peace),the circle which has no beginning or end, and the lamb for the lamb or son of God.

Some churches use a lot of different symbols that mean much the same, the cross to depict Calvary and the sacrifice of Jesus who died for all mankind's sins. The dove represents the Holy Spirit and mainly appears in the Roman Catholic churches and is a major symbol in Confirmation.
