What are the steps to replace a car starter?

Locate starter and disconnect wires marking them as negative and positive. Remove bolts. Take starter out of car engine. Install the new starter in the same way the old one was removed. Place starter in car, tighten bolts and reconnect wires.

First unhook the battery and locate your starter. Remove your electrical connectors from the starter and unbolt it being careful not to loose any shims. Then install you new starter and shim it to the correct depth then bolt it on.

This is usually difficult for most models but here are some tips. Locate the starter and mark the wires so you know which is negative and positive, then remove the bolts holding the starter, pull out the starter from the socket and replace the new starter by connecting the wires marked
