Kick plates can be installed on base cabinets using a nail gun or Liquid Nails. Just measure, cut, and attach.

The kick plate should be installed after your base cabinet is level and attached. The kick plate is installed at floor level. Use the supplies provided by the manufacture to mount the kick plate in place. It will most likely be nailed on. Make sure that the finished side faces out.

Cabinet kick is to hide the shims and the unfinished bottoms of cabinets. If you have pre-finished kick to match the cabinets then cut to length (don't worry miters) and set on the floor and nail high. You can fill the nail holes with a color crayon to match finish. If unfinished kick, then finish before installing.
