There are four members in the group the Foo Fighters. The group members consist of Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett. Chris Grohl provides the vocals, Taylor Hawkins plays the drums, Nate Mendel is on bass, and both Dave Grohl and Chris Shiflett preform on the guitar.

The original band members names are Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, William Goldsmith, and Pat Smear. Goldmsith was replaced by Taylor Hawkins. Smear was replaced by Franz Stahl. Chris Shiflett also joined the band as a second guitarist. The band was formed by Dave Grohl in 1995. It began as a one man project.
