What are the first shots a puppy gets?

The shots are for Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus and Corona. The first five are usually a combined shot known as DHLPP, with Corona being and additional shot. These shots done at three times: 6 to 8 weeks, 9 to 12 weeks and 12 to 14 weeks. At 16 weeks a rabies shot is given as well.

At 6-8 weeks they will get a DHLPP w/Corono. (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) They will receive 3 of these series.

The first shots are for parvovirus (at five weeks old), and then rabies, and eventually lyme. Many vets will also vaccinate against bordatella and parainfluenza.

The first shot will be a C4 which covers Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus & Kennel Cough at 6-8 weeks. Then 4 weeks later you can get the same or increase it to a C5 which includes Bordetella then again 4 weeks later the same as the second shot.
