Vinegar contains three elements: carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. There are two main components of vinegar: water and acetic acid. Water has a chemical formula of H2O, and acetic acid has a chemical formula of CH3COOH
White Vinegar is made up of acetic acid and water. The acetic acid is normally in the vinegar at eight percent by volume. Apple cider vinegar is also acetic acid but it is acid made from the alcohol created by fermented apple cider. There is a chemical reaction done to create the acid.
