Generally speaking, the Democratic Party believes that most, if not all, problems have a one common aspect with respect to the solution and that is Government. They consistently believe that for any and all social problems that exist, Government is part of the solution. They believe in continuously expanding the role of Government.

The Democratic Party believes in providing the maximum benefit to the less fortunate. They also believe in taking from those that have plenty and giving it to those that don't have enough; kind of like modern day Robin Hoods.

In general, the Democrats belief in a centralized government solution to problems. For instance nationalized Health Care, education, welfare, and social security. They tend to solve problems by national regulation (as opposed to decentralized State solutions). Normally, their power base is Unions, minorities, education and Law professionals. They tend to be opposed by military, police, farmers, and business professionals.

Government should respect and protect individual rights and freedom Government must work for the common good. Government should play a role in alleviating poverty and social injustice and use a system of progressive taxation. The government should not endorse or favor any religion above another.

The democratic party is very liberal and believes the government is the soluton for everything. They would like to nationalize everything and take control. They don't believe in strong state government.

Hello fellow missinformed conservatives. You are nice people who need to read the constitution because everything you believe is constitutional is hog wash. Almost every founding father was democrat and would hang your GOP leaders for treason if they was alive today. Read the constitution and vote.
