To make the room sound proof put egg crates along the wall/ walls you'd like to be sound proof. You could also change the room location, but if you can't make sure to keep th door closed and cover the bottom crack with a towel.

Use a egg tray to cover all the side and ceiling of the room. It bounce the sound on it and can cause to block the sound to other room.

If your room is having door and window sound comes even if you are having small opeing. the best way to creat sound proof rooms to insulate your door and widow edges with rubber lining. Same way as in car doors.

the best way is to isolate the room with sea mousse.. that you receive when you buy a tv or computer. is very useful but you will need big pieces

Sound-proofing is just the soundwaves absorbing in the surfaces of the room. A cheap way is to use dense egg cartoons to cover all surfaces in the room (Floor, ceiling, walls, and Door). Then put a fabric like blankets over top of the cartoons. This should do the trick.
