What are the best vines to grow in Zone 8?

Some perennial vines that do well in Zone 8 include: Akebia, Boston ivy, Carolina jessamine, some varieties of Clematis, Crossvine, Dutchman's pipe, Goldflame honeysuckle, Passionflower, Trumpet creeper, Wisteria, and Passionflower. Clematis, wisteria, and trumpet creeper have great flowers. Annual vines that do well in Zone 8 include: annual Gourd, Purple hyacinth bean, and Moonvine.

Any type of italian wines are great for growing in zone 8. I prefer the melnik wines. So try growing those.

Vines include-clematis, Boston ivy, passion flower, moonvine, Dutchman's pipe, goldflame honeysuckle, crossvine, akebia, Carolina jessamine, purple hyacinth bean, calico Dutchman's pipe, gourd, mandevilla, and trumpet creeper. These vines grow fast with minimum care.

There are a lot of vines that will grow well in zone 8, and they include clematis, boston ivy, purple hyacinth, moonvine, trumpet creeper, and wisteria. These vines all handle the heat well. You could also try dutchman;s pipe, and gold flame honeysuckle. They would also do well. I love the boston ivy!

"Nelly Moser" is a type of clematis and it is easy to grow. Produces large, flat flower 6-8" in diameter. The majority of the clematis vines are good in zone 8. English ivy is nice but produces no flowers. There are several honeysuckle vines which are good. Some are the Japanese honeysuckle, common honeysuckle and the blue honeysuckle.
