3 basic parts. The brain, the processing center and information center for the body. The spinal cord, the central pipeline that is connected to the brain. All information that heads to the brain goes through here. And lastly, the nerves themselves. Nerves are strung out throughout the body and allow your body to communicate to the brain through electrical impulses.

The basic parts are the brain, the neurons, and the spinal cord. The neurons are the cells that make up the nervous system. The brain is the command center.
