Dry food is essential to aid a cat's dental health. Wet food is more nutritious and contains moisture that will help keep the cat hydrated. I suggest both, a can of wet and dry left out to munch on daily (do not let it get stale).

I suggest you buy both. You can either mix the two or give the dry food during the day for the cat to munch on. Dry food helps to clean the teeth and keep your cats teeth healthy. Without it the Wet food will basically corrode your Cat's teeth. However, wet food is good too.

I have always had a problem with canned cat food. Every cat I have had it on gets diarrhea. And they become picky eaters and won't eat anything else. And dry cat food helps keep their teeth in good shape.

Dry food can be left out for long periods of time as opposed to the wet food. I also believe there's more nutrition is dry food.

Dry cat food can be left out for your cat for much longer periods of time. Dry cat food also costs less than wet cat food. Dry food also helps clean your cat's teeth.

Dry is better for their teeth, usually causes less stomach problems, stores easily and above all is cheaper than buying wet food.

Cats can eat both. I keep a bowl of dry food for her out all the time and twice a day I give her a small amount of wet food. That way, they think it is a treat and are very excited about getting it.
