Networks allow users to connect and share files, printers, music, movies, pictures, basically anything found and used on a computer. This allows companies to sync all of their data locally onto all of their employee's computers, and allows home users to share files between each PC with ease.

It also enables people to communicate and play games together. Computers linked though a network can be used for remote storage of files so you can share them with other people.
