What are the advantages of bare root plants?

They are easier to ship. Easier to store until correct planting time. There's no dirt moved to a new area. Shipping is less expensive. They're less expensive on their own. You can get varieties bare root that you may not find locally already potted. They're much easier to plant. Just dig a big enough hole, amend, water in and wait.

They have alot of advantages one of them is they are much easier to get to take in water and fertilizer. The other the only thing is make sure they are only getting partial sun.

Bare root plants are generally cheaper and much easier to transport but can be a little tricky when transplanting. You must be more careful to not damage the roots when transplanting. Dig a hole about 3 times the diameter of the root ball, gently fill with dirt, water well.
