Sciatica can start with a vague pain in either hip. It is usually experienced on one side of the body or the other but can be present on both sides at the same time. The hip pain will radiate to the buttock and cause shooting pains down the leg. The pain feels like a hot stabbing sensation.

Sciatica is a lower back injury. When your back tightens up, burns and you have dull throbbing pain every time you move, that's sciatica.
