It depends on the size and type of the windsurfer. The sites that I looked at gave various suggestions including incorporating materials and several different bolts to hold it into place. The most important point was to be creative and not to let the board go to waste.

There are three popular windsufing bases used today to meet to carious needs of the riders , and allow the board to fit their needs. Beginner boards are mainly made from poly , which is a very heavy duarble synthetic, while more advanced boards are made from fiberglass and epoxy.
