Oil based stain can be brushed on with even strokes, water based stains simply put on a pair of gloves and use a rag to stain the door.

You have to apply little bit of detergent powder,It is very helpful to clean the door easily.The stains will come out quickly.

Make sure the door is clean of all dirt and old stain. If possible from hinges, and stain in a garage or area sheltered from wind, but well ventilated.
