Close to the Liberty Bell is Independence Hall, where the original constitution was signed. You can do a tour of Independence Hall and the Constitution Center and learn about the Founding Fathers. Philadelphia also has some great museums, including the Franklin Institute and the Museum of Art and you can visit the old town and the river area.

Definitely visit the zoo, the art museum and the science museum -- they are all world class and very enjoyable. Visit Reading Station, espceially if you can go when the Amish bring things to market. If you like medical history see the Mutter Mueum. Make a day of Benjamin Franklin history, including his grave site and the first Post Office.

They have a wonderful duck boat ride in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You can hop on a boat that is shaped like a duck and they will give you a tour of the city.

You can always take a ride out to Lancaster County and visit the Old Order Amish they have a lot of different things to do out there in the area.

You can go and get a cheese steak at Pat's or Geno's. Be sure to have someone to guide you, though, because they have some weird lingo to speed up your order. I'd also check out the Academy of Fine Arts, the Mutters Museum, and maybe you can go catch a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park.
