There are many medical conditions that can cause a low sperm count, including hypopituitarism, Kallmann syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Klinefelter syndrome, the XX male syndrome or agenesis of the vas deferens. Furthermore, generation of sperm may be suppressed by chemotherapy. If sperm is produced but not ejaculated, an infection could have obstructed ejaculatory duct.
