Okay, the media of a group of numbers is that value when you line up the values from highest to lowest separates the highest half from the lowest half. Now if you have an even number of values, then the median is the average of these two middle values. An example the median of 61,52,44,43,36,35,29,22,17,11,8 is 35.

The median is the middle number. The median is found by first putting all of the numbers in numerical order and then finding the one in the middle. If there are an even amount of numbers, you take the average of the middle 2.
