What are some of the educational problems facing the U.S?

The biggest problem facing education is the lack of budget. Our country is currently engaged in two wars that have been raging for almost 9 and 7 years respectively. If our government would start funneling a portion of the money they spend on bombs to pay for American's education, we would be in a much better place.

I think the biggest one is that like everything else there is not a lot of money. It is causing schools to close and now having 4 days weeks.
