To reduce noise and create more separation from outside noise, you should include a feature in the landscaping that makes noise. An interesting idea to reduce noise from the outside is to drown out the surrounding noise by installing a waterfall. An alternative option to a waterfall would be a fountain.

If you plant tall trees or shrubs in these areas it would help to absorb the noise. You could also have dirt dumped into a section and create a new hill that would block out much of the racket. It would also help if you built a wall of brick or other stone.

You can make a natural wall a few ways. One is too plant a row of trees, such as arborvitae, and let them grow together in a line forming a wall after a few years. You can also build a small levy of sorts and plant with trees or flowers.

Put tall and thick bushes up around the edge of your property; this reduces the noise level by several decibels. You could also build a wall, though at greater cost.
