What are some good spooky stories?

Not a scary story, per se, but a method to get a near endless supply of them, and some even close to your area for the added kick. Whenever I go out with my friends to camp I always go to google's news archive and search for articles about murder.

Any real life scary events always work better then made up stories. You can check out a lot of books at the library with short ones or check out the internet for tribal/civil war ghost stories.
