Use regular or meat-based spaghetti sauce or alfredo for a creamy sauce. Add sauteed/fresh veggies like peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc for flavor. Red pepper flakes add spice.
Make ravioli stuffed with spinach and parmesan cheese. Then mix equal parts tomato sauce and ricotta cheese, add fresh garlic and black pepper-mix well and serve sauce over the ravioli.
Depending on what the ravioli is filled with, marinara sauce, alfredo sauce, or other sauces that are used on plain pasta all make good ravioli sauces.
With cheese ravioli a crab and garlic sauce or you can use a basil cream sauce. As for beef ravioli a fresh basil and tomato sauce or a sage cream sauce. A sherry cream sauce goes well with lobster ravioli as well.
